Game concept inspired by NGNL. Still in develpoment, but functional.
I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie, and have always enjoyed strategy, tactics, and exploits. I managed to piece together a playable game concept which contains a comfortable amount of these factors. Check it out! :D
START
The objective of the Omnilogical Games is to make life the biggest game, and have it be fun. That is, most (maybe all) of these game ideas will use part or all of the real world as it's area of play, and will allow the real world to create more variables in-game. Also, cheating is encouraged.
Let's start with some relatively quick examples:
- Two players are set on opposite sides of a store. Each player is given a tag connected to a string, each of which has a different 5 digit code printed on both sides. Rules include that the players may not come in physical contact with each other, and that the tags must be attached to their waists, the codes unconcealed from sight. The goal of this particular game is to determine the code writen on your opponent's tag, and return it to a referee who has both codes with them. The first to do so wins.
- Four players. Let's use the names 1a, 1b, 2a, and 2b as their names for this example. 1a and 1b are set up on one side of the world (Team 1), with 2a and 2b on the other (Team 2). 1a and 1b do not know who 2b is, while 2a and 2b do not know who 1b is. The goal of this game is for the A person of one of the teams to find the B person of the opposing team. Once physical contact is made, the game is over.
- 32 players, eight teams of four players each. Teams are set up in various locations, all of which are 10 miles away from a target. The goal of this game is for a person in your team to give the target to a referee who could be located 20 miles from the target. Whichever team gives the target to the referee first (NOT whichever team first retrieves the target) wins. Note that physical contact, including combat is allowed. Just remember that no permanant damage to other players is allowed under any circumstance.
- 3 players, named A, B, and C. Each player is given a similar but distinguishable target to place anywhere inside their own house. Player A's goal is to retrieve B's target, B's goal is to retrieve C's target, and C's goal is to retrieve A's. Physical contact is not allowed, and should one person find another on their property, the intruder should return home.
- Players are meant to retrieve a target within an area which none of the players are authorized to access. The goal of this game is to gain authorization to that area, and remove the item from it.
Although different games will vary considerably, there are still some universal rules, and near-universal similarities. Any game design is acceptable, as long as it follows the constitution.
