GAME CARDS

Not required, but encouraged.

A card to help establish a player's identity -- In both a psychological sense and a practical one.
  • Different guilds should not posess the same card styling
  • By default, a card would consist of a gamer name and subtitle on one side, and a symbol and words of the player's choosing on the other
  • It may be useful to plant RFID tags inside of the cards for special usage within some games.
Practical Identity
  • The card can function as a 2FA token, whether by having RFID (preferred), a magnet stripe, or a QR code or something equally functional on it.
  • The card can function as a simple ID card, by having things like photo, DOB, name, rank, and guild name written on it.
Cards of this sort might be used when a player enters another player's house, for example. Having an unidentified individual enter your home would be uncanny, to say the least. A driver's license could be used for identification, but it may be useful to use a player card in addition to it to help determine if that particular player is allowed in that particular location at that particular time.

Psychological Identity
The psychological game card serves no practical purpose, however, it is intended to help a person form an identity as a player of that game.
  • The card can have a player's title, sub-title, logo, and short biography on one side of it or another.
  • A card of this sort is to be kept as a keepsake, and exists to perpetuate the idea of the player having an established identity in the game. They are not just a player named Ivan, they are the one and only Ivan of Accliax, with pride and a reputation to uphold.
  • Cards of this sort might be bestowed upon players from a gamemaker and remain unchanged for a great deal of time.
  • Cards of this sort are recommended to be used as access cards for formal events and hideouts. Particularly: large games and guild meetings.

Homemade cards
It is recommended to make your own cards. Standard credit card size with up to ~3mm of thickness. Metal, wood, glass, and plastic cards are all acceptable. But some cards might be too fragile for normal use and carry, so be careful about that.
