Recipe for sweet rolls
dry:
flour - 4 cups
sugar - 1/4 cup
salt - 1/2 tsp
yeast - 2/3 tbsp
wet:
water - 1/4 cup
butter - 1/2 stick
milk - 1 cup (substitute water if you don't have, add an extra tablespoon of butter)

Proof yeast in hot water with a pinch of sugar.
Sift 2 cups flour, salt, sugar together.
Mix milk and melted butter together.
Once yeast is proofed, mix all ingredents.
Add remaining flour gradually with sifter.
Cover mixture and leave in a warm place until doubled in size.
punch down dough and with a little flour knead it for a couple minutes or until the large bubbles have been worked out.
Tie rolls into knots and allow to rise for another 30-60 minutes.
Brush with egg wash and bake at 400 until done, about 15 minutes
Mozai's Mom's sodabread
3c(750mL) all-purpose flour, 4tbl(30mL) brown sugar, 0.5tsp(2mL) baking soda, 0.5tsp(2mL) baking powder, 2tbl(15mL) chilled butter, 0.25c melted butter, 4tbl mole-asses, 0.3c rolled oats, 1.5c buttermilk
Preheat oven to 375°F(190°C). Mix dry stuff in one bowl, mix wet stuff in another, then add the wet stuff to the dry stuff to form a soft dough. Drop it on lightly-floured board, knead 10 times, roll into a ball. Put on a lightly-greased pie plate you dusted with flour. Cut a deep cross on the top. Bake 40-50 minutes.
