Tossing the bags out of the trailer is the first step towards arranging them along these erosion barriers


In 2020

We started working in the burn scar, the first image shows what it was like when we started, 8 years after the fire


In 2021

We cut the dead logs and arranged them along the hillside as erosion barriers to stop water and snow from rushing down the hillside

In 2022

We started to use leaves and hay to fill the gaps between the logs on the hillside which greatly improved our ability to retain water


In 2023

You can see the after effects of all the mulch and soil moisture retention! Creating the perfect habitat to germinate seeds in the native soil seedbank (as well as some pumpkins from our compost)
