Eventually everyone will get tons of cookies for making all the best pages. It'll be a widget!
Classic chocolate chip cookies:
Preheat oven to 350
Put 1 stick softened (not melted) butter in a bowl
Add 3/4 of a cup mixed brown and white sugar (about 50-50 ratio)
Add 1/4tsp vanilla extract
Mix with a fork (reduce it to a fairly even paste, but you want some little chunks of butter 'cause it makes for a good texture)
Add one egg, mix egg in
Put 1 1/8 cups flour in a measuring cup, add 1/4tsp baking powder, 1/2tsp salt, mix together before throwing in bowl, mix into dough
Add 1 cup chocolate chips, mix in
Put ~1.5" balls of dough on greased cookie sheet, bake 8 minutes, remove from oven, let the bottoms of the cookies finish 1 minute on the sheet before removing to a plate to cool. Makes about 18 cookies. Store cookies in airtight container.
